Some of you might know I am a movie junkie. Geoff and I usually go watch a movie on our date night at least a couple times a month. Considering I now have class and am living sans my date night partner...movies nights have fallen by the wayside. There have been a couple time I have even gone by myself (gasp) Hey, coming from Savannah that hardley gets any independent movies to DC ...I'm like a kid in a candy store! It's like when I lived in LA and we saw movies before the general release dates. Yes, I know I have a problem :)
Luckily I found a classmate that shares my love of movies and we have gone to a few (all tearjerkers darn it).
Here are my reviews before I head back into school mode.

MOVIES
Precious
Wow....moving, sad, infuriating. Let's just say it's not going to be the feel good movie of the year. It's raw, and you learn you can't judge people. You never know their entire situation and how they got where they are.
Brothers
Another sad and powerful movie. Great acting.
It's Complicated
A LOT better than I thought it was going to be. Alec Baldwin plays his role perfectly! And Meryl Streep is anything but her prim and proper self. Lot's of laughs.
The Road
How I wanted to like this movie. I mean, come on it was based on Cormac McCarthay's Pulitzer prize winning novel. Let me say it took Debbie Downer to a whole new level. Beyond depressing. Tons of whining and gross zombies. It's like it almost wanted to be a horror movie. Sooooo disapointed!
Books
Love to read, but have not had as much time this semester to read anything but textbooks. Ever since I finshed my last paper...I have been trying to read as much as I can.
Loved it!!! Great read. I haven't cried this much in a book. If you have ever lost someone...wow. Hit the nail on the head.
It was pretty good. Quick read. Good for a young adult book!
Great book! Been a long time since I read something so powerful.
DVD
I stumbled on this mini series on Netflix. LOVED IT! If you love Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice...you'll love this version of what happens if you went back in time. The guy that plays Darcy is wonderful in his sullen role. Very cute and funny (be warned, it's 3 hours).
